Seth Mukand Lal Ji
(1885 – 1952)

Seth Mukand Lal was born in an ordinary middle class family of Radaur, Yamuna nagar. By sheer dint of intelligence and hard work he became a man of riches. He built a cinema house in Yamuna nagar and donated it to a Trust. Thereafter he bought a 15 acre plot of land at Abdullapur, now Yamuna Nagar, and started Mukand Lal National High School. A school under the same name was started at Radaur. He was a man who would not spend on himself but would save and give away his earnings in charity and for public good.

Seth Jai Prakash Ji
(1912 – 1971)

Seth Jai Parkash , continuing in the footsteps of his illustrious father Seth Mukand Lal, founded Mukand Lal National College, Yamuna Nagar in 1955 and another college with the same name at Radaur in 1971. He shifted to Ghaziabad where he continued his philanthropic activities by starting Vidaya Kendra under whose auspices he started Mukand Lal Inter College for Boys, and Sushila Inter College for Girls. He also started a hospital at Ghaziabad.

Shri Ashok Kumar Ji
(Born on 23rd January 1937)

Seth Ashok Kumar is the third generation philanthropist of Seth Mukand Lal family and continued to raise the status of the Institutions after the death of his father. He established Seth Jai Parkash Mukand Lal Senior Secondary Model School for Girls, Yamuna Nagar, Seth Jai Parkash Polytechnic, Damla, Swaraj Shishu Niketan, Radaur, Seth Ved Parkash Mukand Lal Medical Complex, Radaur. Seth Jai Parkash Polytechnic for Women, Ghaziabad, Mukand Lal Public School, Sarojini Colony, Yamuna Nagar, JMIT Radaur, JMIETI Radaur, TIMT, Yamuna Nagar. Besides the above institutions he started Jai Parkash Study loan Committee that funds interest free loans to the poor and meritorious students for carrying their higher studies.

Smt. Swaraj Devi

(1920-2002)

Sethani Swaraj Devi was a simple, religious and a pious lady totally devoted to the welfare of her family. Smt. Swaraj Devi had great love for children. Whenever she visited a school, she never forgot to take along with her sweets and gifts for children and the staff. Swaraj Public School, Swaraj Shishu Niketan and Swaraj Devi Hospital are named after her which are serving the people of Radaur and its adjoining areas. A Public School in her name has also been established at Damla.
